In this episode, the lads don their red beanies, pour themselves a coconut-based rum cocktail, and sail into the dreamy, offbeat waters of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou soundtrack.

From Bowie in Portuguese, to the contents of Mark Mothersbaugh’s sonic toolbox; chocked full of whimsical synths, eclectic bossa nova, folk, and other oceanic oddities - it all makes Dave and Tom feel like melancholy deep-sea explorers, or at least very stylish ones.

“Oh, my! That's naughty”

In this arse-bitingly good episode of Silver Screen Sound Machine, the boys will be wrapping their ears around the soundtrack to the cult-classic Japanese horror comedy - House.

Helmed by the Japanese rock group Godiego this soundtrack spans the genres from naive, nakedly emotional piano pieces, through wild, thrashing, funky jams, Boogie Woogie, Doors-esque jazz, and even ersatz Blues by way of the Cookie Monster.

The soundtrack of House perfectly captures the film's unique blend of horror, comedy, and surrealism, creating a truly unforgettable auditory experience. You will believe a cat can play the piano.
