By Avraham Avinu bringing up his son, Yitzchak, for the akeida, he brought out his true self.

Avraham Avinu was the one who ingrained in us and the capability to overcome challenges, tests, and adversity. It can be done.

Every time a person davens, learns, or does any good deed - it doesn’t go for naught. Everything helps, even though the kavana may not be there.

The test of lech lecha that Avraham Avinu overcame, wasn’t necessarily leaving that which he knew. Rather it was that he didn’t ask any questions.

Perhaps we’re not supposed to look at a rainbow because that’s not the way the world is right now. Just keep on going, and after all is said and done, the proverbial rainbow will appear.

Not only was Noach the one who saved the world, but Avraham Avinu also had that same capability to save Sedom. That is the power of a Tzadik.. to save a one keep alive the world.

The Torah goes out its way specifically to tell us Noach was the one who kept the world going. If not for him, it would’ve gone back to complete oblivion.

Understanding what the world stands on and how to remind ourselves of it, may give us an understanding as to how to overcome our enemies.

By resting a person rejuvenates which is also doing something. And that’s how Shabbos works.
