Although the main stream media is not covering the story. likely because of fears of alienating some large advertizers, there is a big battle being waged between two sectors of the food industry. A battle that has made its way into the court system. At the center of the fight is the question what is Sugar? The orn Refiners Association claim that the product High Fructose Corn Syrup is every bit as good as real sugar, and wish to rename it Corn Sugar. The manufacturers of real sugar disagree.

Joining us this week will be Adam Fox the co-lead attorney for the Wester Sugar Cooperative to discuss the recent victory real sugar scored. An invite to the CRA was extended in order to have a balance of viewpoints. They declined the offer. The team of Barling & Barrett is well known to the CRA, and president Auudrae Erickson would rather disembowl herself with a plastic butter knife than talk to us!

When you are running computers many millions of miles from earth you need reliability. NASA  shuns Redmond's Windows. The Operating System of choice is VxWorks from Wind River. All of NASA's assets on and around Mars are powered by VxWorks.

Wind River's Mke Deliman will be discussing the unique challenges of creating software for use in hostile environments. Reboots, safe modes, on the fly patches, and a high degree of fault tollerance and self preservation are needed. Even the hardware platform must be special, needing to be hardend to survive intense solar radiation and huge temperature swings. Curiosity sports a screaminf fast 200mz RAD processor. That might not sound very fast, but it is 10 times faster than the ones used on Spirit and Opportunity. You can do a lot with just a little, if you plan carefully.

Please join us, for what will be a very insightful program about the subject.

He is also a very well respected musician, and we will be exploring his new CD.

We will be picking up from where we left the program last week. Same great guests John Perry and Sam Moffie. It has hardly been a great week for Mitt Romney, booed by the NAACP, whipped by a CNN reporter, and those pesky SEC filings that have become a real Bain in the butt!
