Simon Community Scotland have had the pleasure of working alongside tech consultancy AND Digital in the creation of a brand new digital harm reduction app, By My Side.
Join us as we hear from Hannah Boyle, Women's Harm Reduction Coordinator and Claire Longmuir, Policy and Practice Lead for Harm Reduction on the journey that brought us to By My Side. You'll also hear from Nikita Schultz, who worked on the development of the app and our partnership with AND Digital, our new charity partners for 2022.
This is part one of a two-part series. The next episode you will hear directly from women who were involved in the design and development of the app about what it meant to them to be involved and how it has impacted their lives.
Thank you so much to Nikita and the team from AND Digital. This is a trailblazing example of a modern charity partnership that will change and save lives.

With funding from the Scottish Government, Simon Community Scotland provided 100 people experiencing homelessness with:
The results were life changing.
In our first ever podcast, you'll hear about how digital inclusion is absolutely vital for people experiencing homelessness.
When people can access the digital world, they are able to access other inclusion agendas such as social inclusion, health inclusion, financial inclusion, democratic inclusion, educational inclusion, cultural inclusion and inclusion in public services. This project doesn’t just include people in ‘digital’, it includes people in many other critical life areas. When people face multiple exclusions, ‘Digital’ is a pathway back into society and is an essential part of the solution to recovery from homelessness.
Thank you to everyone involved in the project and the podcast.
