On the show today I welcome Simon Mundie .
I am a huge fan of Simon and I feel honoured to be able to have him on my show. He used to run the Don't Tell Me The Score podcast on the BBC and has now gone it alone and rebranded it to Life Lessons: From Sport and Beyond.
It's easily my most listened to podcast and the guests he has on are just phenomenal. Guests such as Johnny Wilkinson, Gary Lineker, Sir Alistair Cook, Dame Kelly Holmes, Katherine Grainger, Damon Hill, Rick Flair, Boris Becker, the list goes on and on the who's who of sport has been on his show
But his podcast is way more than just sport. He looks at all areas of life and gets in people such Andy Puddicombe from Headspace who I resonated with and that show in particular.
We have a lot in common to talk about in regard to mindfulness and how we reflect on and with ourselves. We go deep with a whole bunch of things on the show. He talks about some anxiety issues and depression when he had really bad insomnia and really struggled to get to sleep and tools he used to help him overcome some of these mental states.
Simon is a massively deep thinker and very interesting guy. We go into a whole world of non-duality which fascinating and it opened up a whole different way of looking at things. I was interested in this anyway but he's really big on non-duality and he explains it so well.
I would highly recommend you go and listen to Life Lessons: From Sport and Beyond and what he extracts from his guests is top drawer. There are so many life lessons you will take from each one of his shows. It's my regular podcast for going running or working out to I just let it all wash over me.
So before I gush on Simon anymore I'll let you press play and get into the conversation we had and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
As a side-note we had another 1-hour off-line chat after we stopped recording and we will plan to do a follow up shortly as the conversion was so rich and varied and well worth capturing.
Please enjoy Simon Mundie.
