Simple Science Thoughts

The Kardashev scale is a method of measuring a civilization's level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy they are able to use. The measure was proposed by Soviet astronomer Nikolai Kardashev in 1964

Since the Earth revolves very quickly around its own axis, were it not for the fixing effect of the mountains, these plaques would shift. In such an event, soil would not collect on the Earth's surface, water would not accumulate in the soil, no plants could grow, and no roads or houses could be built.

Even though Earth is 10 times heavier than Mars, it would still trundle along Mars's old path. Both Mars and Earth are perpetually falling toward the sun, and all falling bodies fall at the same rate. But Kepler's laws don't account for the subtle gravitational perturbations that planets exert on one another.

As the black hole made its way through the Solar System, it would disrupt the orbits of all the planets in it. Likely, our space intruder would tangle the biggest planet in the system, Jupiter. The black hole would pull all the gas from the giant planet, turning it into a swirling hot disk

The equator is closer to the sun. ... Because the sun's rays hit the earth's surface at a higher angle at the equator.

Anyone watching the autumn sky knows that migrating birds fly in a V formation, but scientists have long debated why. A new study of ibises finds that these big-winged birds carefully position their wingtips and sync their flapping, presumably to catch the preceding bird's updraft—and save energy during flight

Bird migration is the regular seasonal movement, often north and south along a flyway, between breeding and wintering grounds. Many species of bird migrate. Migration carries high costs in predation and mortality, including from hunting by humans, and is driven primarily by availability of food

Our planet is too small and would burn up in the atmosphere before that ever happens. This would have a huge impact on Jupiter, as the Earth's remains would completely mix into its atmosphere. So if you ever notice our planet going off course and heading towards Jupiter, you might want to jump off along the way

Asteroid mining is the exploitation of raw materials from asteroids and other minor planets, including near-Earth objects. Hard rock minerals could be mined from an asteroid or a spent comet.

A sphere would form and any heavy elements like iron would sink to the center of the sphere, and the silicates would float to the top. If the planet were big enough and close enough to Earth, there's a good chance this new planet could suck up and destroy Earth completely.
