What if the symptoms you're struggling with—anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, sleep issues, hormonal imbalances, or feeling disconnected from yourself—are pointing to something deeper?

  • Why ‘Simply Complicated’?
Sadie shares the vision behind the podcast and the paradox that inspired its name: many of life's most important truths are simple, but living them out is often complicated.
At the center of the podcast is a belief that humans are created for connection and relationships. While the need for connection may be straightforward, understanding ourselves, navigating relationships, and learning how we impact others can be deeply complex.
Sadie reflects on how honest, vulnerable conversations with mentors, coaches, and trusted friends have helped her grow in self-awareness, compassion, and relational maturity. Through witnessing authentic conversations, she has learned to better understand herself, recognize blind spots, and show up more intentionally in her relationships.
As a filmmaker and storyteller, she hopes to document and share these conversations so others can experience the same benefit—seeing what healthy dialogue, curiosity, and growth can look like in real life.
Together, the conversation explores the beauty of holding simplicity and complexity at the same time, recognizing that some of the deepest truths about being human are both straightforward and endlessly layered.

  • Episode #3 How Self Awareness Changes Relationships
In this episode of Simply Complicated, Sadie sits down with executive coach and mentor Rosa de Koning, for an honest conversation about relationships, self-awareness, emotional maturity, and the patterns we carry from childhood into adulthood. Together, they explore how personality assessments like CliftonStrengths can help us better understand ourselves and others, why conflict often comes from unhealed wounds rather than bad intentions, and how curiosity and compassion can reconnect strained relationships. Rosa vulnerably shares her journey of understanding her mother differently over time, reframing labels like “stubborn” into strengths like persistence, and learning that being right matters less than learning how to love people well. This episode is about growth, vulnerability, healing generational patterns, and learning how to show up more authentically in the relationships that matter most.
