  • Images of Restoration | Ruth Lesson 6
The book of Ruth is a story of redemption. God provided redemption to Naomi, Ruth, Boaz and God’s people through the story of Naomi and Ruth. Ultimately redemption came through Ruth’s only named son: Obed, who would become King David’s grandfather and part of Jesus’s ancestry.

  • Love’s Transaction at the City Gate | Ruth Lesson 5
Boaz is generously committed in his love for Ruth. Though the widow’s nearest of kin lives in anonymity, Boaz is remembered well in the pages of Hebrew history. Yet Boaz’s redeeming love for Ruth is just a shadow of the greatest love known to humankind. Jesus, our Great Redeemer, made himself a kinsman by willingly leaving the splendor of His glory and becoming flesh. When there was no intercessor to be found who could pay our sin debt, He took upon Himself the whole debt. Becoming a curse for us, He died a sinner’s death and arose in victory releasing us from all death and sin curse. And it was all for love’s sake.

We want to help women recognize God’s activity in their lives and articulate the Gospel while motivating others. We want to offer women the tools to discover God’s healing love and develop depth and bravery as believers. The Simply for Women Radio Show is an arm of the Simply for Women ministry. It is a place where women connect with women simply through scripture, story, and service. We love featuring stories of women who have experienced and are experiencing God throughout their communities. These women share how God, in His transformative power, has helped them to overcome addictions, fear, grief or anxieties. We also learn through their testimonies how God met them again and again as they walked through widowhood, divorce, single motherhood, or a health crisis. There is something for everyone.
