When you have a big family, trips are not as much with kids. Let's be honest! There's extra luggage, snacks, suncscreen, entertainment..... And even when you're completely loaded down and think you have ALL of your bases covered, someone still ends up getting pissy and attitudes still flare causing the parent brain to be like "Why did I do this?!?" When you're able to escape WITHOUT kids however... is when you find the actual vacation bliss! I know, I'm a horrible parent for saying that... It's not about OUR happiness, it's about the kids... Yeah, yeah, yeah... WE KNOW! But we also know that a getaway for just US helps us reset to be ABLE to STAND those family trips without completely losing our shit... Have a listen ;)
