Welcome to the Simply Straight Talk Podcast with your host Reggie Maddox. In this episode I want to talk about falling in love with someone from another country or different culture.
Dating someone from a different culture can be exhilarating, but as with any relationship, you'll undoubtedly face some unforeseen challenges. For example, traditional ideas of the roles of men and women or spiritual beliefs. There may be some barriers which can include a plethora of factors — such as language, socioeconomic standards, physical distance, and familial expectations — but working through them will allow you to strengthen your relationship as you learn more about each other.
Dating someone from a different culture or country requires patience and a willingness to understand the other person.
We discuss these questions as well as offer some tips for how to get over some of these barriers.

Welcome to the Simply Straight Talk Podcast with your host Reggie. We can all help prevent suicide. Suicide prevention starts with recognizing the warning signs of suicide and taking them seriously. Talking openly about suicidal thoughts and feelings can save a life.
In this episode I wanted to discuss some of my past experiences and some behaviors that could be warning signs for someone who maybe considering suicide. In 2022 as of the second week of May there have been several suicides from college students. Alana Miller a 19-year-old student who was a cheerleader at Southern University, Sarah Shulze was a 21-year-old at University of Wisconsin and Lauren Bernett, 20-year-old star who attended James Madison University. It’s important that we all take time to understand some things about depression and how to assist people who are struggling with depression.

Social media has become the most popular form of expression today. As these platforms continue to grow and excite people from all age ranges, so has the need for likes and follows. In this episode, I want to discuss how far will people to go to obtain social media fame or become known as an influencer. For some, social media has become a way to generate income.
The enthusiasm and seemingly overflowing show of support and love can make a person crave more, which means they are willing to do more. How far will you go to obtain more likes and followers? If you become more sexual in your photos and content are people supporting, you or wanting to see more of you physically?
Let’s talk about this and don’t forget to share your thoughts and feedback. Subscribe to this podcast also.
Now we must ask ourselves what is the next move? For some people this may sound like a ridiculous question. But consider why some people cheat or have resentment for their current mate. In some cases, a person will begin to see themselves in a negative way that leads to depression. Everyone wants to connect with that special someone but when it’s the wrong time decisions must be made and questions need to be answered.
