I can edit someone else's writing in twenty minutes flat and tell you exactly what's missing. Hand me my own words and I freeze: write a sentence, delete it, write it again almost the same way, every single time. I used to think that was a writing thing, or a perfectionism thing. Turns out it's a marketing-myself thing, and those are two different problems wearing the same outfit.
Underneath every client's problem, there are three layers, and most coaches, this one included, stop at the first one. This week is about finding the other two, plus the voice that shows up right on schedule once you do, the one that never fully quiets down no matter how long you've been at this.
Plus: a coach who moves through all three layers without ever sounding like she's lecturing anyone. Worth watching if you want to see it done well.
This week's action: take your ideal client and write three sentences, one for each layer. Actually write them down, not just think about them.
