This story may even encourage some little ones to eat more vegetables.
Planet Scrabbage and the Vegerons is a fun read for children (and adults, if you're anything like me).
My six year old niece, Daisy read this to me a few days ago. With the exception of a few more complex words she hadnât come across before, she was able to read this quite easily.
Daisy loves vegetables, and when she comes to visit Iâve never had problems getting her to eat pretty much any vegetable I put on her plate. I was dying to get her to read this book and see if she enjoyed it. In fact, she loved it. She laughed at the mention of smelly bottoms. We got a âOh, theyâre so funny. Theyâre wearing clothes!â the first time she saw a picture of the Vegerons. She loved the illustrations, and happily laughed or excitedly commented on them all.
We both loved that each type of vegetable had a different personality and laughed at the ending. I doubt either of us will look at sprouts in the same way again.
Even a couple of days later, Daisy was still making faces with the vegetables on her plate and suddenly announced sheâd spotted some clever peas in her stew.
Who knows, this story may even encourage some little ones to eat more vegetables.
Cute Story to Inspire Picky Eaters to Eat Their Vegetables!
Is your child a picky eater? Does he or she hate vegetables? The vegetables on Planet Scrabbage are called Vegerons and they will transport your child to a happy and healthy place.
Amanda (age 9) says that the story is cute and that kids will want to eat their vegetables so that they can be like the Vegerons. The Vegerons are painters, explorers, athletes and more!
The illustrations are cheerful and the rhyming text is lots of fun. This book will make your picky eater giggle and want to try that green stuff on the plate!

Rhyme Time
A Fun, educational rhyming story for children young and old. Read to them, or help them read, if I may be so bold - lol, reading this story just put me in the mood to make one up myself.
The artwork is cheerful, colorful and pretty accurate so that kids can see it and remember what it looks like fresh (and maybe even try eating them? ). The rhymes are easy and fun for the parents to read to kids in various voices to bring the story to life. It's something sure to put a smile on your face and educational as well.
Great Read
A cute short story. Always a fan of rhymes that teach, it really holds children attention. Great illustrations and very entertaining. A pleasure to read.

This is another really cute, fun book for little onesâwho donât want to eat their veggies. Paul has a knack for finding something funny to entertain small children over a âstickyâ subject.
