Tim Lane is one of the best sports broadcasters ever produced in Australia. He started his career in his native Tasmania in the early 70s moved to Melbourne with the ABC in 1979 and over the years has broadcast many grand finals in the AFL, Multiple test matches in cricket and covered  5 Olympics where he was track and field commentation at 4 of them including 2000 in Sydney. I have been luckyenough to broadcast with him over the years and today he is my guest.
