Deliverance gets you out of Egypt.
Discipleship gets Egypt out of you.

It took the Israelites 1 day to get out of Egypt but 40 years to get Egypt out of them.

    Egypt: toxic provision
    Wilderness: God's provision
    Promise Land: Garden provision

Egypt was bondage. It's being a slave to things.
Wilderness is transition and unlearning. Delivering you from you.
Promise land is God's promise. Facing & fighting giants while taking territory and dominion.

    Wilderness is transition.
    Wilderness is forgiveness.
    Wilderness is repentance.
Wilderness is delivering you from YOU!

How do we know that we are in promise land...? When you see giants.

    These different seasons are mindsets!

    Egypt is a mindset.
    Wilderness is a mindset.
    Promise land is a mindset.

17 Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt. (Exodus 13:17-18)

The Lord didn't allow them to go out of Egypt straight to facing giants, because the people might turn around.

They just came out of Egypt and the Lord knows what to protect us from when we are coming out of toxic environments.

    (Exodus 13:20-22)

This pillar of fire by night and cloud by day is a resemblance of the Holy Spirit today.

We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in this hour!

    (Exodus 14:10-15)

You will notice the Israelites carried a language

    (Deuteronomy 8:1)

    The Lord allows wilderness...

    To humble us.
    To test us.
To know what's really in our heart.

    (Numbers 11:4-6)

What if you don't have a hunger for God because you're so full of you?

The children of Israel had intense craving for Egypt's menu.

What if we can't see God's goodness because of the appetite we have for bondage?

What if we can't be grateful for what we do have because we continue to focus on what we don't have?

    (Numbers 13:27-30)

There were spies that came with a bad report vs. spies that came with a good report.

The spies that came with a good report made it to the promise land.

Caleb quieted those that didn't believe & said we are well able to overcome it.

    God is able.

What if God is not looking at your ability, but your availability?

The question is not if we are able.

The question is if we are available for God!

    Moses was available
    David was available.
    Elijah was available.
    Peter was available.

Are you available for the Lord?

    (Joshua 5:10-12)

The reason we call the promise land garden provision is because the moment the Israelites ate the fruit of the land, the manna ceased.

The gardens of the land provided for them through Canaan.

How to unlearn what you've learned in Egypt...

    Unlearning is discipleship.
    Unlearning is married to healing.

    #1 Remove pharaoh.

Remove all idols in your life.

Anything that is above God in your life is an idol.

    #2 Leave Egypt.

God needs to take you out of something, so He can take the something out of you.

    #3 Unlearn in wilderness.

    Unlearning is married to healing.

Your former appetite will crave former diet.

    Unlearn diets.
    Unlearn cravings.

    #4 Relearn to trust God.

Your calling may attract people who misunderstand you.

What if you trusted people too much?
What if you trusted YOU too much?

    Trust God.

    #5 Transform your thinking patterns.

You can have a nice smile but what is your spirit?

You can look good on the inside, but spirit is that on the outside?

    We need discernment & wisdom!

    Discernment is investigation.

Wisdom is our ability to understand discernment, obedience, timing & application.

    How to increase in discernment?

knowing, understanding, applying the word of God, & praying in the spirit!

    Heal from trauma
    Heal from unforgiveness
    Heal from dysfunction

Because dysfunction will blur your discernment

We’re called to test EVERY spirit in Jesus name

    1. Wicked - assigned to harm you.
    2. Selfish - can’t really love.
    3. Ignorant - lack of knowledge
    4. Foolish - despise wisdom or quarrelsome. makes foolish decisions.

    2 Chronicles 18: 1-27

    1. Wicked

30 Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. (1 Kings 16:30)

11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the godly will flourish. (Proverbs 14:11)

29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous. (Proverbs 15:29)

    2. Selfish

1 Therefore if there is any [a]consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:1-4)

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:18-21)

    3. Ignorance

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. (Ephesians 4:17-19)

    4. Foolish

1 A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. (Proverbs 14:1)

11 As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness. (Proverbs 26:11)

Foolish decisions makes but don’t study consequences

  • How To SEE In The Spirit: A Full Guide For the Last Day Deception // Ep. 116

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. (Matthew 7:24-25)

We must know the difference between those building sand castles vs. on the Rock which is Jesus Christ.

    Lip service vs. Living Service.
    Head knowledge vs. Heart Posture.
    Looking Holy vs. Living Holy.

    (2 Kings 6:11-18)

A few things we can learn from Elisha.

He believed our God is greater than the enemies threats.
He prayed and humbled himself before the Lord.
He prayed a spiritual warfare prayer against the enemy.

Our level of humility and reverence towards God will give us this true authority and power!

Jesus warns us in Matthew 24 several times about the deception that is coming...

4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. (Matthew 24:4-5)

11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. (Matthew 24:11)

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

We must also learn to discern the different voices out there.

    #1 World
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)

    #2 Devil
3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:3-4)

    #3 Flesh
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. (Galatians 5:16-17)

    #4 Holy Spirit

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26)

Here are 4 strategies the enemy uses to deceive us...

    #1 What you SOW INTO…

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7)

    #2 Empty words

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. (Ephesians 5:6)

    #3 Your circle & environment

33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” (1 Corinthians 15:33)

#4 Not being a doer the word

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22)

    How to overcome deception?
#1 Heart Transformation - pure heart.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8)

#2 Studying Information - the word of God.
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

#3 Meditating on Revelation - seeking God.
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)

  • What is Demonic Wisdom? // Ep. 115

    📧Join our newsletter: https://simplyuncagedgifts.com/pages/10-off-newsletter-sign-up

What is demonic wisdom according to the bible?

Everyone wants to get spiritual until it gets biblical!

& we have to be able to discern what is demonic wisdom vs. God's wisdom.

Just because people share scriptures from the word of God doesn't mean it's coming from the Holy Spirit.

The devil was able to use scripture against Jesus while He was in the wilderness (Matthew 4).

We are living in a generation where people want to be right over being righteous. & to be righteous means to be in right standing with God.

To obtain God's wisdom is starts with the fear of the Lord.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)

Proverbs is the old testament book of wisdom.
James is the new testament book of wisdom.

God gives us wisdom so that we may be able to live a fruitful life!

    Experience is a hard teacher.
    Wisdom is the best teacher.

Make sure you cling to God's wisdom, it leads to promotion.

& promotion doesn't come from man, it only comes from the Lord.

    8 Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. (Proverbs 4:8)

While fools is are trying to win debates, the wise are here to win souls!

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)

8 So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light. (Luke 16:8)

How can the 'sons of this world' be wiser than the 'sons of light'?

This just shows that there is a level of wisdom from this world, & if they use it can be deemed wise!

But we are God's children have more wisdom because our wisdom comes from above! & if we don't use that wisdom, the wisdom of this age can produce better results than us.

    What is demonic wisdom?

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.  (James 3:13:16)

    Bitter envy
    Self-seeking in your hearts
    Confusion

These are all signs that this is demonic wisdom!

Anyone can honor God with their lips...but their hearts are far from God.

They can praise God with their lips... lips service but not living service.

We want to know people by their fruits!

    What is God's heavenly wisdom?

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:17-18)

    Pure
    Peaceable
    Gentle
    Willing to yield
    Full of mercy
    Good fruits
    Without partiality
    Without hypocrisy

Wisdom is our ability to understand discernment, obedience, timing & application.

    Experience is a hard teacher.
    Wisdom is the best teacher.

    Wisdom gives security.
    Wisdom gives prosperity.
    Wisdom gives promotion.

    Faith wins battles.
    But wisdom builds homes.

We're called to be harmless as doves, wise as serpents. (Matthew 10:16)

& we don't want to be deceived by the spirit of this age. We must continue to test EVERY spirit.

Wise - adjust based on correction.
    Wicked - intentionally harm others.
Foolish - discuss consequences & see how they respond.

7 Go from the presence of a foolish man,
When you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge. (Proverbs 14:7)

The main books that share wisdom in the bible:
    Proverbs
    Ecclesiastes
    Songs of Solomon
    James

9 things in the book of proverbs about wisdom
    Knowledge
    Understanding
    Wisdom
    Prudence
    Discretion
    Discernment
    Fear of the Lord
    Discipline
    Diligence

    #1 Knowledge - acquiring facts

    Knowledge is information.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)

#2 Understanding - properly interpreting those facts.

    Understanding is revelation.

#3 Wisdom - application with those facts

    Wisdom is application, demonstration, transformation.

Wisdom requires both knowledge & understanding.

    6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; (Proverbs 2:6)

#4 Prudence - the ability to reason & good judgment to make decisions and act in a way to avoid risks and regret.

But the prudent considers well his steps. (Proverbs 14:15)

And sweetness of the lips increases learning. (Proverbs 16:21)

We don't just make decisions, we study consequences.

And your lips may keep knowledge. (Proverbs 5:2)

Discernment is knowing the difference between what is right and what is almost right.

Discernment is not option for the believer, it's mandatory.

Our ability to have righteousness towards God over being right.

To be righteous means to be in right standing with the Lord.

3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding, (Proverbs 2:3)

    #7 Fear of the Lord

It's not that we are scared of God, but we should be scared to not be with God.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)

5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:5)

10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)

    #8 Discipline - self control

It's hard to be a disciple for the Lord when you don't have discipline.

24 He who spares his rod hates his son,
But he who loves him disciplines him promptly. (Proverbs 13:24)

#9 Diligence - careful & persistent work effort.

12 “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And find out knowledge and discretion. (Proverbs 8:12)
