This poem was inspired by many moments in life where it seemed where I was fighting to grab a hold of the gifts and talents that I have. Learning how to push others and cultivate who I am simultaneously seemed nearly impossible. Learning how to support myself without guilt is something I’ve struggled with for many years. It’s time for me to step up to the plate and really obtain the best life God has in store for me. Will you do the same, or does success still not know your name? The choice is yours.

Jesus is Never Too Busy

What is Christmas all about? Is it just gifts and laughter? Is it just family and fun? Does Jesus have a place at the dinner table or is he lonely in a corner because no one is talking to him? A lot of times we forget Jesus in Christmas. Have we made Donny Hathaway our God? Have joy but have Jesus. He is the reason for every season.

The Bible speaks about us being created in God’s image and likeness and that we are his masterpieces. Often times in my life I struggle with seeing the inward and outward beauty of being made in the image of God. We don’t know how to speak God’s word over our lives until his word over our lives is the only word that remains. It’s hard to believe in your ability to be great if you don’t know your source. It’s hard to cancel the lies of the enemy if that’s a believe you already have for yourself. You are beautiful, not because I said it but he who created who said so. Love you all.
