In this episode of the Sinners Only Podcast, we explore the current conversation about racism and why people seem to be so polarized about it. It feels like in the past few years in the political sphere and the church this issue is very sensitive. With the deaths of numerous people of color at the hands of injustice, more and more people have been speaking out about the injustices that are still happening today. With something that should be grieved and lamented. It's combated and claimed as being "woke" or "crt". In this episode we want to talk about it and we might want all the smoke!. We have our special guest CJ this week who will help give us some insights into this! CJ is a writer and speaker from Brooklyn, NY. He is a husband and father of 2 special girls and 1 wonderful little boy. His work is largely centered around theology, culture, history, and personal development. He is a generalist in a world of specialists. CJ’s work has been featured in publications including The Witness, Christ and Pop Culture, and The Gospel Coalition. He currently writes regularly for his blog, Live & Labor, where the aim is simple teachings on living in the way of Jesus. CJ founded the organization Labor Forward to give deeper teaching of Black history than we normally receive. He frequently gives talks at churches, colleges, and high schools around the country. In the end, the goal is to impact as many lives for the sake of the Gospel as possible. You can follow him @CJ_Quartlbaum and @LaborForward.
