Sis. if we are honest we have all created unrealistic expectations when in a relationship! But we must learn to be present and focused when interacting with the opposite sex or any human being. Not having control over your thoughts can led to: 1. Being misinformed about what’s taking place in the present 2. At risk for being heartbroken because you’re to busy being in your own thoughts and in fairytale land that you are missing vital signs that they may not be that into you. 3. Confusion, you will be confused because of what you thought! You thought you were a great couple, you thought things were flowing , you thought you were going to marry them! 4. Assumptions, you have created this image in your mind with this person assuming they wanted more and all they wanted was a month of fun! Sis. when assumptions are made 9 times out of 10, they are wrong! Taking your thoughts captive meaning gaining control over what you think about life, situations and your self. Below are some practical steps: 1. Stay focused and alert! Get to know the person you are with but most importantly know who you are and what you have to offer, your standards, boundaries and values (Proverbs 4:23) 2. Slow down! Life is a journey not a sprint enjoy life moments and trust that time will reveal a persons motive (Isaiah 26:3) 3. Stay sober in your thoughts, look at the facts , actions and words of a person. When they show you who they are believe them. If it walk like a duck , look like a duck and quack like a duck sis. It’s a duck! ( James 1:8) 4.Trust Gods Timing God will withhold no good thing from you ( Psalm 84:11) Affirmation: “ I AM LOVE, I GIVE LOVE TO OTHERS AND I REFLECT WHAT I WANT TO RECEIVE”💕 I love you, Mz.
