The pod (life) overflows with possibilities. But what becomes reality is what counts, what catches our attention. What is probable depends on several factors including our own effort and willingness. And never forget, perfection is neither possible nor probable.

It is a time to celebrate (as a nation) make things work. A time to look at the past and learn how to create a future where we nurture one another, where all people enjoy freedom and live in peace with justice for all.

As I record this podcast, it's SUMMER and I am enjoying my vacation. You can be sure, I am in the midst of creation, in a garden created by the loving hands of a friend. I was the 3rd of 4 children. We were blessed with love, especially from our parents who both witnessed and taught us values that were needed in our earlier years. Mom and dad were the foundation and now my brothers and I are "living truths" of their love.

After the last podcast on Intergenerational Living, I began reflecting on intergenerational relationships in my own family. In this podcast, I interview my niece, Kathy Shaaf.

I live in a Benedictine Monastery now with women of various ages, though most lean toward Elderhood. We are blessed with a few women in their late 20's and early 30's within our "Sister Community."

The image of bread we are discussing today. The sacrament of bread, the blessing of bread, the sharing of bread is the Christ within us and among us. It is a holy experience even on an ordinary day.
