Episode 13 is my conversation with Theresa Golden from Opendoor Church and it’s so good! Theresa shares about her long battle with an eating disorder and the healing God provided in her life through His love. She talks about the consuming thought of, “if I was better”, and how the enemy would attack her worth. We talk about control, being achievers, schemes of the enemy, photography and more. This is a special episode where our host, Jordan Sheets, shared a Mother’s Day message she preached at Tanglewood Church in Kinston, NC. Aside from Mother’s Day, Jordan shares three spiritual truths for each of us no matter our season of life. Drawing near to God, trusting God, and being obedient to God all lead to an adventure filled with blessing and bringing God glory. As Christians, we are called to a life of great adventure and our God is intentional with each day. 

Here’s episode 12 of the Sisterhood podcast! In this episode our host, Jordan Sheets, interviews Amanda Patel about a difficult season of her life marked by catastrophizing and debilitating anxiety. We talk about “what ifs”, grieving with friends, lies of the enemy, and marriage. Amanda also shares about a turning point in her battle with anxiety including her prayer closet. Often women of faith struggle to seek help with anxiety because they feel it defines their faith and this is a part of Amanda’s story. You’ll also enjoy some good laughs in this episode. Brianna shares what she has learned about putting radical faith in to action and growing in patience. I love how Brianna shares how physical miracles make way for eternal miracles and my favorite quote is “you have to have seeds of hope that outnumber your seeds of doubt”. In this episode we talk about WAITING and we all find ourselves in seasons of waiting for different things in our lives.
