Inclusion isn't only about bringing outliers into the fold, even though that can have its time and place. But narrowly thinking of inclusion in this way risks a type of assimilation that asks marginalised groups of humans to get in line and conform with dominant culture if they are to be seen and heard. Instead, inclusion requires courage to go much further by creating countercultures that disrupt the status quo of injustice and refuse to ask industry to "let us in". Sisu's mission of inclusion builds alternatives scenes, systems and spaces for those who refuse to fit into already carved out shapes that weren't made for us in the first place. Sisu was made in no man's image. Instead, we made it in ours. This is what inclusion can look like, at its root.

Paying homage to the classics in her sets is a nod to nostalgia and a deep appreciation for the community. She continues to mould and evolve her versatile sound through residencies at Subtle, Voices Radio and Om Being, guided by an open-minded and adventurous approach.

This mix captures her current sound perfectly - rooted in UK soundsystem culture, laced with nostalgia, and driven by a forward-thinking, dubwise energy that cuts across genres. In May, I’mMoontalk will be launching DUBMERGE, a FLINTA-led party and mix series. This set offers a glimpse of what you can expect to hear from the night: deep, earthy, spiritual, and bass-rich. Molly Penney moves between percussive, off-kilter club sounds and moments of release. Built around fractured rhythms, shifting textures and vocals that flirt with euphoria while never fully settling there, her sets are shaped by mood rather than genre.

She’s a co-founder of Portsmouth based Unmade Radio that grew into a wider community platforming local DJs and holding parties and creative projects in the city. Community building guides her approach to her mixes which is focused on connection and shared experience on the dance floor.

Her mix is a fluid musical experience moving seamlessly from deep, introspective and atmospheric moments with elements of lightness and clarity to very percussive rhythmic sections designed for the dance floor, incorporating on the journey elements of acid and breakbeat.
