How does it make sense to hide who you really are from someone until it's too late? Honesty is the best policy. There will always be someone for everyone. Informed consent counts for choosing friends and partners too.

Stop assuming everyone thinks like you.

When does it happen? When do we wake up with body image issues? Are they caused by beauty standards? Are the caused by our bodies changing in way we weren't ready for? Does everyone realize that body image issues are just for girls? Why do some people have issues with their body's appearance and others don't? It's amazing the road blocks people are able to overcome to get where they're going in life. Listen to myself, Shannon Greenland, have a conversation with my guests, Tamu, Sharen and Millie, about their road blocks in life and how they overcame their adversities. 

I'm going to tell you my story as it pertains to the current state of racism in hopes that it helps someone. I felt like something needed to be said and this is the only way I know how to say it. I hope it hits home for someone out there so they can be released from their internal struggle. Please listen.

We need to be better communicators. It's a skill not many seem to have anymore despite the many ways we have available to communicate. This is my opinion. Please take the time to listen to one another and stop making assumptions. Hear people. Ask questions. Stop being scared.
