Sit Down Chats

I travelled to Geelong to have a chat with former Socceroos midfielder Josip Skoko about his life and career.

Skoko made more than 400 senior appearances for club and country across Europe and Australia and we touch on plenty of topics, including:

- Beginning his career at North Geelong Warriors

- Moving to a warzone at just 19 years old

- Beginning his career in Croatia

- Facing off against the Galácticos at Real Madrid

- *That* relegation face off for Wigan against Sheffield United

- Reflections on his Socceroos career

Thanks so much to Josip for giving up his time for a chat! I'm a British sports journalist and you can find out more about me on Twitter/X: @NickSeddon_
