Vidyeśvara means ‘the Lord of knowledge’ or ‘knowledge of the Lord.’ So the knowledge in this saṁhitā gives the foundation or framework for understanding the rest of Śiva Purāṇa. Many deep secrets are revealed herein that are not given anywhere else.
