Before he was a fixture in a Big Rig, our guest today spent most of his days in the Big Apple. As a kid growing up playing basketball on the streets of Long Island, 6 foot 8 inch Peter Rizzo was often called a “Skyscraper.” He went on to play hoops in college before returning to the City to work as a police officer among the land of skyscrapers. But, within his first few months on the job, two of them came down. When the unthinkable occurred, Peter Rizzo joined his comrades and jumped straight into the fire to do what he could to rescue lives and restore a city. We thank him for his service, and we’re honored to have him as our guest today as he shares some of his memories of that time on the force with the NYPD. Don’t miss this conversation with one of our nation’s finest on this episode of the #SixFigureTrucker.
Show Notes:
Mr. Rizzo, we salute you and all who served our country those fateful days.

100%. That’s Mr. Rizzo’s on-time percentage for the month of September! A lot has to go right to achieve this statistical anomaly. Still, there’s a reason why Peter Rizzo is consistently near the top of the driveaway charts for on-time and load completion percentages. He would tell you that it all starts with planning. Logistics is a Driveaway driver’s best friend. In this episode, hear how better planning will lead to more loads, more peace, and more for your bottom line! Tune in today as we welcome Peter Rizzo to the show on this edition of the #SixFigureTrucker.

When asked about the kind of truck she prefers, our guest responded: “I like a manual shift. You know, the old-school Peterbuilts and Kenworths. But, every truck I drive is different, and I like that I'm driving a truck.” Those, my friends, are the words of a bona fide trucker. Carrie Keyes is the real deal. In her 25 years behind the wheel, she has driven everything from dump trucks to city buses to tractor-trailers. And she’s run the gamut of businesses behind those trucks as well. So, when someone like her says she’s found the industry’s pot of gold, it carries weight. In addition to the wealth of knowledge and insight packed into this episode, Carrie Keyes will share why Driveaway proved to be her Promised Land from which she’ll never return. This is an episode of SixFigure Trucker that you can’t afford to miss.
