When was the last time you did something just for yourself? Especially for moms out there, putting everyone else's needs before yours is most often the norm, but nurturing yourself first can actually allow you to take better care of your loved ones.
In today's episode, Camerin Inselman is taking over the mic - and her topic of choice is self-love. With the busyness of life and responsibilities that seem to pile up, taking time for ourselves can be put on the back burner. However, in order to show up for the people and responsibilities in our life to the best of our ability, we need to make sure we have taken care of ourselves first.
Listen to Episode 44 of Six-Pack, to learn the four R’s of self-love, a few tips from Camerin on how you can begin today to tend to your needs, and why it's crucial to pay more attention to your desires.

How often do you incorporate strength training in your workout routine?
Many women believe that the only way to lose weight is to increase their cardiovascular activity. However, cardio alone isn’t the best way to lose weight and tone up.
In today's episode, Brian and I talk about the benefits of strength training. Strength training is very important to incorporate in a workout routine because not only does it burn calories in the moment, but your body continues to burn calories for up to 48 hours after the strength training is done. If you want to sustain fat loss, increase bone mass and density, or gain muscle tissue, strength training is going to be the key.
Listen to Episode 43 of Six-Pack, to learn all you need to know about strength training, the advantages as well as the misconceptions around it, and ultimately why strength training needs to be incorporated into your workout routine.

When was the last time you failed?
To me, the words failure and success go hand in hand because without failure, we don’t have the opportunity to grow and learn from our mistakes to then fuel our success.
In today's episode, I talk about overcoming failure in life. Failure, by definition, means not being successful. However, ‘success’ means something different to each of us because we all have different goals and desires that we are measuring this success by. Most people view failure as a bad thing, but really failure re-routes our life to areas of success. Instead of feeling slowed down by failure, use it as a motivation to keep working towards your goals.
Listen to Episode 42 of Six-Pack, to learn about the times that I have failed, why failure is a motivation to me, and why failure is inevitable.

Do you ever feel like the goals you have for yourself keep getting pushed aside because of the other commitments in your life?
I have been feeling overwhelmed lately and I wanted to talk about getting that momentum back during a period of stress and anxiousness. As a mom and a woman, I have things that I aspire to do but the people and prior commitments in my life keep pushing my goals aside.
In today's episode, I talk about my recent feelings of being overwhelmed. As a goal-oriented person and someone with big aspirations, it can be easy to lose sight of the action steps needed to accomplish those goals when you wake up every day and are pulled in so many different directions. It’s important to take the time to rest and give yourself ease and grace so you can continue to successfully move past feeling saturated with other people's agenda.
Listen to Episode 40 of Six-Pack, to learn why I have been feeling overwhelmed recently and what I did to get my momentum back and keep working towards my goals.
