Episode 17 aired on NBC Radio, January 10, 1954. An old prospector named Hiram finally strikes it rich. Britt Ponsett gets into a gunfight and promptly gets wounded at the assay office during a holdup. Britt’s horse, Scar appears to easily clear the eight miles of prairie between the hills and Clay City.
