Six:Eight

John paints his next portrait of Jesus as the Light of the World. We can choose to walk in the light or stay in the darkness, and that is the question we struggle with throughout life.

Do we live in prideful religiosity which judges others, and therefore judges Christ? Or, do we practice loving confrontation out of a stance of grace & mercy with the desire to build up & not to shame?

Today we see the Holy Spirit as the Living Water, and Christ as the Fountain which provides it! Do we have a vibrant life in the Spirit? Read along and see where the Spirit takes you!

Many don’t mind a Savior, but Lord is a different story. Do we just want Jesus to get us through the door, or do we rely on Him as our daily sustenance in all things?

Do we really want freedom since it comes with responsibility & life-change? Jesus brings it, we need only say, “Yes!”

Feuds start, and by the end we may not even know what we’re feuding about. There comes a time to surrender, to just give up our search for fulfillment & meaning in ways which don’t work. To finally have our thirst satisfied by the Living Water, Jesus!

How does salvation occur? What does it mean to be reborn? What does it mean to look up to Jesus for hope & help throughout this life? These are questions we address looking at the conversation between a religious leader, Nicodemus, and Jesus.

Last week we heard the Divinity of Jesus as Word. This week we peer into His humanity, and just how personal, close & caring He is in the mundane details of our lives.

Who is Jesus to the world? Does God suffer from multiple personality disorder? Or, does He communicate Himself in one way as you would communicate yourself through your unique personality?

We live in the already & not yet of the kingdom of God. Jesus has left us with answers & direction. Living out of solid truth in an unsure world brings us hope & joy!

A message we’re called to proclaim to all peoples!
