How do you typically distract yourself when you've been feeling down? In this episode we touch on some of the things that we have done / have been doing to help distract our minds when we need it. Give yourself grace, but be careful not to be avoidant.
The first of many for this series. As January is coming to a close, us at sixsevpod wanted to check in with you AND just like you ... we are tired af BUT we want to find ways that we can continue to feel inspired to reach our goals this year. This is a quick episode, quick check in. We mostly want to hear from you guys, what are some tips you have for us as we are amidst quitting season when it comes to those resolutions. Let us know in the Q&A section below!!
We are "going off on men" as sah would put it. Talking all things men including but not limited to having them flirt with your girlfriend, having them flirt with your ex-girlfriend, flirting with men to get free drinks, and how talking to men in general led us to drinking tequila. Well ... kind of. You'll just have to listen to hear the details.
Let's touch base on what it was like for us as collegiate athletes, as a coach of twelve year old girls, and what role the mental game plays in all of it. How does your sexuality and identity actually play a role in how you are seen on a team? We're here to share some of our personal stories from over the years.
This episode is all about feeling insecure, not that we want you to (although it's definitely relatable) we are more so focusing on how you can take your insecurities and mold them into strengths; feeding on the things that differentiate yourself from others. It's not something you show people, but once you do, it opens you up to becoming something greater, something stronger. Maybe the things we talk about in this episode are things you can relate to but at the least we hope it helps you open the conversation with people you trust.
This is one of the least cut episodes that we are uploading to date. The reason for this is that behind the edits, cuts, and deletions, are real people having a real conversation with real imperfections. Things that we both speak on being insecure about. We are not perfect. Our stutters and self-corrections are such a solid representation of how we are taking our purest insecurities and quite literally putting them on your screen and to your headphones.
For the first time in sixsev history, sah and val are having a disagreement. okay, maybe that's not 100% true, but this episode definitely takes you on a journey of a back and forth conversation surrounding the topic of soulmates. Let us know what you think of the term 'soulmates' and how you have seen them show up in your life ... if you believe in that sort of thing that is.
It's official, we are jumping back into sixsevpod. Starting off this season with a typical conversation between sah and val ... the whole reason we started this podcast in the first place.
Welcome to our first episode where we are shooting the shit. The first of many in this series. We range from talking about sah's socks to the traumatic boxes heteronormative standards have shoved us into. Yup we took it there.
Are you guys as ready as we are?! We have been preparing for this second podcast season for a few months now and it is all finally coming together. Here's a little sneak peak into what you can expect from us this time around ...
