In episode number two of the second season of the SkatePunk Podcast, we’re talking about everything but skateboarding for the first twenty minutes. Shortly after, the topics get more skating-related, as we’re discussing influences in our skateboarding and our aspirations to be influencers (NOT THAT SOCIAL-MEDIA-LOOK-AT-MY-FANCY-SPONSORS-INFLUENCER-THING) ourselves.

Welcome back to a new season of the most wheelbite-friendly podcast in the universe, the SkatePunk Podcast. There is less structure at the beginning of a new season, as we have some catching up to do. We’re talking about skateboard-setup changes and some seasonal differences between central Europe and sunny California. As this podcast season starts, the weather above the globe’s equator starts to become more skater-friendly, and some of us are a little rusty. We go over the things we usually do to get back into shape (if that was ever the case, lol).

Shortly after our third episode of the SkatePunk Podcast aired, we received an email from a man called Michi. He is the bass player of the band ‘Circus Rhapsody’ based in Berlin, Germany. Shortly after, we’ve scheduled a recording date together and got him on the show.
Circus Rhapsody is a one-of-a-kind band, that if you were to describe it as diverse, it would be an understatement. They play everything but have their roots in punk rock. Join us in this episode as we talk about some road stories, how the band got its name and image, and how they dealt with the COVID-Situation this far.

His video quality, educational value, scripting, and storytelling make him stand out from the rest. We are genuinely excited to have him as a special guest on our show!

In this episode, Julio and Brian talk about their appreciation of the analog and physical medium combined with life and skateboarding. They also talk about skate games (THPS vs. Skate 3) and realize they’re on opposite ends of the spectrum.

No music genre is as historically attached to skateboarding as punk rock. It only makes sense for us to have a band as a guest to the podcast. Let me introduce you to skate punk from St. Louis, Missouri. The group has released their first EP in 2019 and has made it clear that they can produce a great soundtrack for any skate session. Join us this time on the SkatePunk Podcast as we talk about how they got started as a band, who the members are, how they produce music, and much more!

We are proud to announce our latest addition of content to SkatePunk! Podcasts! In the first episode, the heads of SkatePunk introduce themselves and talk about skateboarding, global differences, and much more!
In 2016, the year we created SkatePunk, we’ve tried something similar by live-streaming on YouTube on my „FirstPersonSkater“-Channel. We got only two episodes under our belt; however, this podcast project is a new start with fresh ideas. In future episodes, we will have skaters, bands, and people that are a part of our culture as guests.
New episodes will come every month on the 20th at midnight (UTC +2) . Stay tuned for new episodes by subscribing to our e-mail notification service for free.
