Sarah Liddell is Chief Product Officer at Elvie, creating innovative products that improve the health and lives of women everywhere and at all stages of life.

Sarah (studied fine art initially) then started her career as a furniture and props maker. When Sarah became a mother, she felt frustrated with the way products didn’t meet her needs as both a mum and a woman. Once her children started school, she attended university and began her degree in product design and engineering (working nights to support her family) where her chosen Major project was on re-designing the pushchair. Sarah’s first design and engineering roles was at Dyson. When she first joined, she was the 4th women to join out of a team of 240 engineers. Later in Sarah’s career, she joined design agency Native Design, where she worked on connected devices

Opening up on her career journey Sarah reflects on the gender tech gap and the challenges still faced by women in engineering.
