Your triggers are signs of where you need healing. People have not always used the same words as insults and compliments. Educating yourself on how other people see the world and what used to be considered attractive, desirable, etc. helps you disarm words that are triggering for you. Body image is shaped by your experience and not everyone experiences the same thing. What is an insult to you might be a compliment to someone else.
