Measure progress in your body image by applying this analogy! In this episode, I share a few ways to tell if you're at home in your body, how to feel more at peace, and ways to enjoy your body more. Don't forget this is deeply covered in my book, The Body Image Solution, available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BRC98BBM/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1671798787&sr=1-1
If you struggle with negative self-talk, this is your top priority in growing your confidence. Tearing yourself down is actually a symptom of patriarchy, sexism, and usually racism. It's deeper than you think, which is why nearly EVERY woman on the planet struggles (or struggled at one point in her life) with body image issues! How is that possible?? Find out in this episode.
Don't forget the book recommendation for this episode: The Body Image Solution is on amazon! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BRC98BBM/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1671798787&sr=1-1
Thinness is not the ultimate body goal. I have an issue with body goals in general, but today's episode examines how thinness has become the center of all things health and body. It's important to remove the pursuit of thinness from your health equation if you want a chance of a healthy body relationship and real confidence. Just like the 4B movement helps remind women that men should not be the center of their lives, the body confidence movement should remind women that thinness should not be the center of our health goals. Listen in for the deep dive!
Happiness comes in many forms. For you, it might be a fresh manicure, for Cydney Rechtin, it was selling everything and living in a converted van with her husband for 5 years (on and off). Cydney is a woman living life well! Her life consists of a husband, Christian marriage, COO position at a meal-prep company, and currently choosing to be child-free. There are many ways women can live life confidently, listen to our conversation to get inspiration from my good friend (and former podcast manager!) Cydney.
Hobbies don't need to become businesses. I said it!! Enjoying something and being good at it are two completely different things. On today's episode, I'm diving into this capitalist concept that anything worth doing has to have talent or money tied to it. The truth is you SHOULD do things you're bad at, even just as a reminder that you're not perfect, no one is, and it's completely okay to enjoy something without having the expectation that you're gonna make money or even become a pro.
Nooo! It happens to the best of us. I found myself having fallen out of healthy habits and routines I once had firmly established in my life. The answer? Reconnect with that version of who you used to be. Find those healthy habits again and slowly reintroduce them into your week. In this episode, I'm sharing why this happens, what to do, and things to remember during the process to keep your confidence on track.

Welcome back to Confidently She! Do you ever wonder if you're growing spiritually? Yes, maybe you're consistent with spiritual disciplines, but how do you tell if there's real growth in your heart? Proverbs says out of the heart the mouth speaks. Your actions will give you direct indications of your spiritual growth. I put together a list of 11 ways I noticed my behavior, mindset, and speech change once I truly started walking with the Lord. You can use these as indicators of your own growth - plus, look out for these characteristics when you're choosing friendships. The character of your friends quickly becomes the character of your own. Remember you can join the discussion on Substack https://open.substack.com/pub/rebekahbuege
Welcome back! Sometimes Christians forget that America is not a Christian nation. It's a nation of religious freedom, which means freedom from religion as well as the right to practice individual religions. This means, as Christians, we should never be shocked or offended when political agendas don't align with our values. It's a presidential election year in the United States, which means the republican party will attempt to harness the religious voting block regardless of their candidate's personal beliefs and values. This episode serves as a reminder, a warning, and an encouragement to prioritize unity over uniformity. Our ultimate aim is not to influence American politics, it's to live in holiness as salt + light to the world, visible through our love. Listen for an honest reality check for what is most important in the midst of an election year.
Welcome back to Confidently She! This episode is a response to 1 Thessalonians where Christians are called to live a quiet life. It feels like this goes directly against much of the themes I see at Christian conferences in America. What does it really look like to live quietly? How are we supposed to impact people when we live quietly in a world that's getting louder and louder each year? I have some thoughts and I hope it helps encourage you. Welcome back to season five of Confidently She. In this episode, I'm walking you through the mindset of enjoyment and why it's important in my walk with God. The gifts God gives are meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. God is not stingy with his gifts. He is not withholding, even though it feels that way to us sometimes. Remember that God is a father and there's nothing parents enjoy more than seeing their child enjoy the gifts they give them. So I'm sharing the 3 necessary shifts I made to fully enjoy gifts from God. I hope you enjoy!
