When three suburban moms trying to make ends meet rob a grocery store, it doesn't take long for them to realize they are in way over their heads. Is it fair to compare this to "Thelma & Louise" and "Breaking Bad" or are those way out of this one's league?

---

When three suburban moms get tired of trying to make ends meet, they decide it's time to stick up for themselves by robbing the local grocery store. But when the manager catches a glimpse of one of them and the loot is far more than they expected, it doesn't take long for the three best friends to realize the perfect getaway will be harder than they think. From Executive Producer Jenna Bans ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal," "The Family") comes this comedy-infused drama that mixes a little "Thelma & Louise" with a bit of "Breaking Bad."

Pop quiz... who looks like a hillbilly hockey player, can apparently hold his breath longer than David Blaine, and has a higher kill count than Raul on a lonely Saturday night playing Call of Duty? If you guessed Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th fame, you just might be well on your way to being Raul's next bestfriend! Aw shucks, what a prize indeed! Join us as we discuss the Friday the 13th franchise!

---

Friday the 13th is an American horror franchise that comprises twelve slasher films, a television series, novels, comic books, video games, and tie‑in merchandise. The franchise mainly focuses on the fictional character Jason Voorhees, who drowned as a boy at Camp Crystal Lake due to the negligence of the camp staff. Decades later, the lake is rumored to be "cursed" and is the setting for a series of mass murders. Jason is featured in all of the films, as either the killer or the motivation for the killings. The original film, created to cash in on the success of Halloween (1978), was written by Victor Miller and was produced and directed by Sean S. Cunningham. The films have grossed over $529 million at the box-office worldwide.

Roald Dahl's The Witches, reimagined by Robert Zemeckis for a modern audience, is a dark fantasy comedy about a young boy-turned-mouse and his grandmother who battle some big bad witches to save children across the world. Was this film able to live up to the original or did it fail to bring in a new audience?

---

Reimagining Roald Dahl’s beloved story for a modern audience, Robert Zemeckis’s visually innovative film tells the darkly humorous and heartwarming tale of a young orphaned boy who, in late 1967, goes to live with his loving Grandma in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis. As the boy and his grandmother encounter some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, she wisely whisks him away to a seaside resort. Regrettably, they arrive at precisely the same time that the world’s Grand High Witch has gathered her fellow cronies from around the globe—undercover—to carry out her nefarious plans.

Zemeckis is joined by a world-class team of filmmakers, including Alfonso Cuarón, Guillermo del Toro and Kenya Barris. The cast includes powerhouse performances from Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, Kristin Chenoweth and Chris Rock, with newcomer Jahzir Kadeen Bruno as the brave young hero.
