Hailing from the American Midwest, Big Mike has been in the flight sim community in various aspects since 2007. Between delivering bread for the world's largest commercial bakery, organizing events for one of the oldest virtual airlines, and flying for fun, Big Mike loves to rock out to the tunes that defined the best generation of music, from the 60s to the 90s. 

Sunny Hansen is the host of Sunny’s Saturday Jukebox where she plays a little of just about anything. When she fires up the Random Jukebox you never know what will come up next. She is perky and friendly and loves starting off the weekend with the Sky Blue Radio listeners.

Who is The Nerd? No one really knows. He’s just a guy from North Carolina who LOVES his music, Flight Simulator and VATSIM!! A Member of Metroair Virtual Airlines, and The Pilot Club. He’s a former member of vZKC ARTCC.

He lives in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The Nerd has had a long, storied run as a Mobile DJ in the 80’s, moving into the world of Karaoke in the 90’s and 2000’s. Then, in 2012, he joined a team to revive an old AM Radio Top 40 powerhouse 1380 WTOB in Winston-Salem, NC, playing hits from the 50’s, 60’s an 70’s. All the while, he’s been a charter listener of SBR almost since it’s birth. Shortly, thereafter in 2014 he was recruited by JT and Captain Crunch to join the Blue Crew on Sky Blue Radio! The rest is HISTORY!!

One Man, One Mic, and two and a half hearts.

I love my job… How many times have you heard me say that during my show, at least 400 times… I enjoy playing all kinds of music and have been known to go from the ’50s and ’60s to the ’70s and ’80s, and then today’s hits all in one show AND make it sound smooth.

I started in the clubs back in the late 80s in Aurora, Colorado at Mardi Gras. What a blast and haven’t missed out since.

Today, I am the owner of Sky Blue Radio, a disabled US Army Veteran, and do a show every Friday Night at 2300Z or 5 pm Mountain time. Be sure to check it out!

Thomas comes originally from a small town just a stone’s throw away from the former so-called iron curtain, which separated his home country Germany. Being born in the eastern part he was quite happy to see the wall come tumbling down so he could set sails and see the world.

 He did so by traveling through most countries in Europe and spending a whole year as a high school student in the Midwest of the U.S. Nowadays he is back in Germany where he broadcasts news on one of the country’s major public radio stations.

 But News is not everything and so he is an avid flight simmer since the release of Microsoft Flight simulator 98. It is unknown how many flying hours are under his belt, as his VATSIM-Records are hidden in a location that is a well-kept secret. But a rumor is circulating that he already filled a three-digit number of logbooks.

 While flying he used to entertain his passengers with a superb selection of great music over the PA. Good for us, he decided to leave the scratchy sound system of his cockpit behind and join SkyBlueRadio. So no one needs to set a foot in one of his shaky birds to listen to Jazz, Blues, Soul, Folk, and even some country from both sides of the Atlantic.
