2 Corinthians 5:16-21. It’s inevitable that sometimes things don’t work out the way you had hoped. Luke 19:1-10. Football is kicking off and every team has the same goal: WIN. Every team wants to win, but not every team does it the same way. While the goal is the same, the playbook for each team is different. It’s much the same with churches. We should all have the same goal: TO MAKE DISCIPLES. Matthew 7:21-27. As Jesus wraps up the Sermon on the Mount he wants to make sure his listeners understand the importance of applying what he has taught. Is knowledge all we need? Matthew 7:15-20. The people we follow matter. The people we allow to pour into our lives and lead us have the ability to shape the way we think and the things we do. Since people we follow have such great influence on our lives, we must be careful that they are leading us in the direction we desire to go. Matthew 7:12-14. If you’re looking for the easy way through life… the way of Jesus isn’t it. The way of Jesus is the way of sacrifice, service, and surrender. But the way of Jesus is also the way of fulfillment, peace, and hope. More than that, the way of Jesus is the only way to eternal life. In this message we look at what makes the “golden rule” so difficult to live out and why it’s a keystone mile marker on the narrow road of following Jesus.

Matthew 7:7-11. As Jesus continues teaching in the Sermon on the Mount he begins to show us what we should do when we are having trouble living out our faith. We should pray for his help. In this message we see that Jesus tells us not only how often we should pray, but with what attitude we should pray.
