Caitlin and Charlotte lead with the question: Once you start down the dark path, *does* the Dark Side forever dominate your destiny? We trace the dark side's historical origins, including the early drafts of Star Wars with the Ashla and Bogan, to the Revenge of the Sith novelization and much more. Then we dive into Anakin Skywalker's journey into the dark side and parse through our origin hypothesis. Finally, we talk about Ben Solo, redemption, and whether the dark side *does* dominate his destiny, and what that means for the story. We talk about Robert Bly's concept on the human shadow and how that relates to the Dark Side. All this and more on this episode of Skytalkers! This episode was edited by Danny Pirtle.

Episode 2 of The Bad Batch is here! We break down the latest episode, our favorite parts, more thoughts on Omega and Hunter, and more.

We recorded this before we became aware of this serious issue, which is whitewashing in animation and specifically with the clones here. As white women, whatever we say is just paraphrasing fans of color who have rightfully called attention to this. We both urge our listeners to check out this io9 story and the included carrd: https://io9.gizmodo.com/why-star-wars-fans-are-concerned-about-the-bad-batch-an-1846831469

How shocked were you by the first 10 minutes of Battle for Endor? Where are these incredible matte paintings today? Caitlin and Charlotte try a different viewing order for the Skywalker Saga, the Nesting or Matryoshka Viewing Order (as we've named it). Here's the order: Start with The Force Awakens, then The Last Jedi, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, Return of the Jedi, and finally, The Rise of Skywalker. We go through each important transition and discuss why we loved this order and what interesting things we noticed. All this and more on this episode of Skytalkers!
