Treguna Mekoides Trecorum Satis Dee!

That can only mean one thing… it’s time for BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS! The spell has been cast and Teresa Delgado of Fangirls Going Rogue and Disney Vault Talk joins us to talk about this much-loved 1971 film. Sherman Brother’s music, animation meeting live-action and some glorious 1970’s revolutionary effects make this film an instant classic. Sarah and Teresa grew up with Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Richard is now the newbie, just watching it for the very first time.

If you’ve never seen it or haven’t watched in awhile, here’s a plot refresher:

During the Battle of Britain in 1940, Miss Eglantine Price (played by future Mrs. Potts - Angela Lansbury), a cunning witch-in-training, wants to help the war efforts and use her supernatural powers to defeat the pending Nazi invasion.

Miss Price sets out to accomplish this task with the aid of three orphaned children who have been evacuated from the London Blitz. However they need the last spell from magician/steet performer/Witch school sheister Emelius Brown (played by David Tomlinson who is best known as Mr. Banks from Mary Poppins). Together, the crew uses an enchanted flying bed to find the missing spell and foil encroaching German troops.

In true Disney fashion, Disney Channel PR and Lucasfilm put on a genuine Red Carpet bash at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA for the finale of Star Wars: Rebels, Season 2. In this episode, Richard and Sarah take you to the Red Carpet, inside the Main Theater with Q&A on "Twilight of the Apprentice" from cast and crew, and further to one-on-one interviews with Dave Filoni, Ashley Eckstein, Vanessa Marshall and Kevin Kiner.

*SPOILER ALERT* If you have NOT seen this finale - turn back now! Not only was the Q&A held after we all saw “Twilight of the Apprentice” together, but we also give our thoughts on spoiler-heavy moments. The Q&A was moderated by Amy Ratcliffe, and we heard from writer and creator Dave Filoni, creator Simon Kinberg, Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano) and Taylor Gray (Ezra Bridger). Since we bring our recorder everywhere, we had a short roundtable with fans right after the screening.

In this episode we are diving into Classic Marvel Star Wars Comic #8: "Eight For Aduba” or Magnificent 7 in space. You may recognize this comic as the introduction to several iconic characters, including Jaxxon and Serji-X.

We have our usual top trio to discuss the issue. Star Wars artist Randy Martinez lends his artistic and nostalgic wisdom to the discussion. Richard also remembers reading these comics as a kid, but Sarah is younger than the comics themselves, and is the voice of the newbie. All three create a fun dynamic as we discuss word such as “FORP!” “SCHINK!” and “Begone, Defilers of the Sacred Way!"

Richard and Sarah were able to ride the NEW Luigi’s Rollicking Roadsters and we also saw a NEW chilling addition to Jedi Training: Trials Of The Temple. STEP IN TIME: Remembering Disney’s Matinee Movies is back and this time we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1975 classic film - Walt Disney’s THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG! J

oining us on this journey to the old west are special guests Steve Glosson and Teresa Delgado of Disney Vault Talk. They bring their brand of fun and fond memories to the conversation while Richard reminisces about his first childhood crush, Celia (Stacy Manning), and Sarah watches the film for the first time in her life.

For anyone else who has not seen this film yet or hasn’t seen it in a while, here is a refresher on THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG. Bill Bixby (The Incredible Hulk) plays Russell Donovan, a slick gambler duped into taking care of a trio of mischievous orphans named Bobby, Cloves and Celia. Meanwhile, outlaw wanna-be’s Tim Conway (The Carol Burnett Show) and Don Knotts (Andy Griffith Show, The Incredible Mr. Limpet) are out to rob anyone they think has anything worth stealing. Set in the Old West during The California Gold Rush, it’s a fun ride.

The children miraculously strike it rich, but that’s when bad guys come out of the woodwork to steal the gold. It’s up to The Apple Dumpling Gang to keep it, and their home with Russell Donovan, safe and sound. Hilarity ensues, and so does our conversation. Exactly how does a show roll from The Apple Dumpling Gang into the 80’s sex-romp comedy, Porkey’s?
