Filmmaker Nyla Innuksuk joins us to discuss her new film, Slash/Back. The film is a horror/sci-fi that highlights some of the pains of growing up as an Inuit teen while throwing in nods to teen adventure films like The Goonies and sci-fi films like The Thing. Aside from discussing the film we also dig in on political issues of the indigenous individuals in Canada, using film as a platform to highlight culture and the current state of horror. Enjoy!
Slash/Back was released by RLJE Films and Shudder in theaters and on VOD and Digital Oct. 21, 2022 and will be available on Shudder at a future date.
