Finally! It has taken me just over 75 hours on The Regent, but I have now beaten Ascension 10 with him as well! I had hopes after this build really picked up pace against the first boss, and getting to the end wasn't as hard as usual... beating the Aeonglass was still really tough! I made a mistake and was so close to restarting the fight, but I just made it through with 2 hit points left 😄

When my build really got up to speed in this fight, I was beginning to hope that maybe this would be the one that would make it all the way 😄

The current state of Ascension seems like it's ... too hard? At least for The Regent.

I have beaten Ascension Level 10 with The Necrobinder, The Ironclad and The Silent, in that order. My total playtime with each of those characters are 29h47m, 20h00m and 31h15m, respectively. I've now played 72h38m with The Regent, and I've still not been able to defeat Ascension Level 10. I've reached the double bosses a few times, but mostly don't get that far. I know it's supposed to be VERY HARD, but if even this really nice deck, with quite a few very hard-to-achieve synergies isn't enough, maybe it needs a little tweak? I think the new boss, the Aeonglass, is a little bit too punishing with how fast it fills your deck with Wither status cards.

I think this is the first time I've come across The Sealed Throne, and it was a game changer! Fitted really well with the rest of my deck, especially alongside a Glow, Guiding Star and an Alignment!

This worked really well. Three Orbits gave me back three of every four energy spent, and then hitting the Decisions, Decisions on The Smith ended up dealing 2x400+ damage to The Doormaker 😄 I wonder how good it would have been if I'd manged to get a fourth Orbit...

It's quite cool using the master planner to build up a deck of sly skills some of which discard cards and some of which draw cards, and being able to basically cycle the deck. Add in afterimage and other fun things and you've got a stew going! 😃

Defeating the second final boss after only just surviving the battle against the first one.

This silly vulnerable build loops indefinitely once it's up and running and then does devastating damage with Bully.

It's the first time I got the Meat Cleaver relic, which allows you to Cook at campsite, meaning you can remove TWO cards from your deck (and gain 9 Max HP). This seems pretty OP, as removing cards is the most important thing in this game (and most deck builders).

My win streak with The Watcher seems to be a little bit broken. It says 21 in the high scores, but when I go through my run history there are 22 victories. I got suspicious when I was pretty sure my streak didn't increase after my Blasphemy victory, and was worried that it had reset my win streak somehow, but it doesn't seem to have reset it, just didn't count that one or something...
