SLEEP - Help through Physical Support

Listen Later

“Health Talk with Dr. Kell”. I’m Niki Sterner. Last week we began a four-part series discussing “Sleep”. We talked about how the foods you eat can affect your ability to fall asleep and stay asleep.

This week, we’re discussing sleep and exercise. The intensity of your exercise and when you do it can affect your ability to get restful sleep.

Exercise is physical effort carried out to sustain or improve your health and fitness.

Did you gain the Quarantine 15 lbs? During COVID, many people were less active. They weren’t going into work and gyms were closed. The less active lifestyle plus stress, caused sleep issues and weight gain in many people.

Now, it’s a popular thing to start an exercise routine after January 1st, but it’s a great habit to have year-round. The more active you are, the more your body pushes you to sleep at night for rest and recovery, filling up your tank.
