Kriss is joined by Jax to review 'Sleight'. This film originally debuted at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival before it was picked up by WWE Studios and Blumhouse for distribution. There was a small amount of hype coming out of Sundance about this film. It has a black director/writer in J.D. Dillard as well as a black male lead in Jacob Latimore and was presented as almost an urban superhero origin story. Does it live up to that hype? Listen to us discuss the film to see if it does.
A young street magician (Jacob Latimore) is left to care for his little sister after their parents passing, and turns to illegal activities to keep a roof over their heads. When he gets in too deep, his sister is kidnapped, and he is forced to use his magic and brilliant mind to save her.
