Slim Radio

This week Comedy Undergradz brought us jooookes. They had a call in: a 22 year old California man, not at all related to the murderer, although he did wake up at 5am to be on this podcast (which is sketchy to say the least). Lara brought us jokes inspired by the very fun word: reception. Diederik took us to satirical satire town and had a bunch of jokes about Minneapolis, and it's important. Benny told us the story of his dad wearing a quilt at his frikin wedding. He's so Italian. Take a listen.

Allie and Jochem are back for Giegling part two to discuss and play some tracks from none other than Traumprinz/DJ Metatron/DJ Healer/Prince of Denmark/Prime Minister of Doom/Golden Baby/Dr. Sun/Kasha. One of the most enigmatic individuals (or groups?) within the electronic scene, Traumprinz has amassed one of the most dedicated legions of fans in the game. The catch? No one knows this producer’s identity.

From techno grooves to soulful breakbeats, everything this person puts out has the Midas touch. Take a listen to hear our thoughts on this superb producer while we play some of our favorite tracks from their immense catalogue of music. We’ve also selected some of our favorite mixes, which can be found in the show notes.

Our minds are where the magic happens - actually they’re where everything happens. Yet, we don’t always have a great understanding of how they work. UvA Radio’s newest podcast, Minds Matter, is here to have a deeper look at that thing in your head. Every episode, Beth Fisher, Ava Ma de Sousa and Noah Simhy will chat about a topic, bringing you some of the psychology and neuroscience research about it along the way.

We’re kicking it off with something light (or so we thought). What’s the deal with TikTok? Why do the kids love it so much? Does it really affect our brains the same as cocaine? Also - are we old?
