A quick google search popped up a variety of quotes from people throughout history, giving their insight as to what wisdom is or isn’t, how to come by it or not. Though a lot of these quotes are good reads, and may inspire you for a moment, we always like to turn to what the Bible has to say.

In this Mini-Mix Edition, we received a question about wisdom, that came up from a Bible verse in Proverbs that referenced wisdom as a person, but specifically a woman. While discussing how to answer this question, we were surprisingly led to God’s intention of the man/woman relationship in the intimate and sacred marriage relationship.

“The Jab,” used to refer to one of the basic punches in every boxer’s or MMA fighter repertoire. What’s interesting is that particular punch helps you set up your range, establish your position for other types of power shots, and helping you keep your opponent at arm’s length. Think, Muhammad Ali probably had one of the best jabs in boxing history. While this episode isn’t about boxing, it does address how “The Jab” has now been redefined.

Now this episode does not take any specific stance on “The Jab,” or advocates any other vaccinations. However, we do take a stance on addressing the issue of using Bible scripture out of context to influence the decision-making of others, when it comes to these types of things. As we look at what the Bible actually says, it isn’t simply the pharmaceutical companies that we as Christians, want to single out.

A new year, a new you! This year I’m going to do…insert: new commitment/new resolution. As we begin 2022 we will find ourselves setting up goals for the new year, and desiring to stay true to them, so that we achieve our goals. For the believer, this is not so easy. The Bible calls for Christians to die to self, think of others, and serve willingly. But this requires hard work, embracing church demands. Still, we often find ourselves wondering or questioning if we are TRULY serving the LORD.

The church calls us to connect within a ministry, and serve the church needs. However, in this episode we were surprised to learn what the Bible actually says about how to serve the LORD. Hint, hint… we don’t need a church bulletin, the latest Christian book, or even the Pastor to tell us how to serve Him. Listen in, to see what we DO need.

How do spaghetti and meatballs relate to the dynamics of church life? We jump in the kitchen for this Mini Mix Edition to explore the Biblical application of imbalanced flavor. Often, as Christians we seek to connect with people and serve with people that are just like us.

However, the culinary equivalent of “too much salt, too sweet, too spicy, too bitter, or too sour,” causes any dish to be compromised. So, we discuss how Christians are just like spices. There are different types of spices, that work best when they complement one another, and ultimately balance each other out.
