Welcome to the Slobberknocker Sports Network! On this episode Coach Lieck & Uncle T take a look at the last week in sports where we had all four of the 2nd round NBA Playoff Series end. We look back at the thrilling game 6 series finale between the Dallas Mavericks & the Oklahoma City Thunder, as PJ Washington hit a pair of clutch free throws late to propel the Mavs back to the Conference Finals. We also discuss how the Pacers luck continues to get better & better, and why Tyrese Haliburton travels on EVERY possession. And of course we have to touch on the Denver Nuggets EPIC collapse in game 7, blowing a 20 point 2nd half lead to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In addition to round 2, the guys look forward in the NBA playoffs to the conference finals, as they preview both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals. We also touch on Xander Schauffele finally breaking through at a Major Championship, as he took home the Wanamaker Trophy at Valhalla in the PGA Championship this weekend, while Scottie Scheffler was just trying to stay out of jail (yes that's a joke, we love Scottie).

Finally we close it out with some Stanley Cup Playoffs and discuss the upcoming conference finals in the NHL, before we close it out for the week.

In this weeks episode Coach Lieck & Uncle T breakdown and react to everything that happened in the NBA Playoffs this past week, including the New York Knicks crippling injuries, the Boston Celtics becoming massive NBA Title favorites, and the Denver Nuggets coming back from the DEAD to tie their series at 2-2. They preview the remaining parts of the series, including a massive Game 5 between the T-Wolves & the Nuggets tomorrow night!

After the NBA Playoff react, the guys discuss the biggest winners & losers from the NBA Draft Lottery Sunday afternoon, where the Atlanta Hawks won the 1st overall pick despite just a 3% chance to do so. Of course they touch on the San Antonio Spurs, who were also big winners in the lotto, receiving the #4 and #8 picks in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Additionally, the crew runs through everything else from this past week as well as the upcoming week across the sports world. This includes a preview of the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla, which starts Thursday morning. Scottie Scheffler, Rory Mcilroy, & Brooks Koepka come in as the top 3 favorites and Uncle T gives his PGA predictions as well as a possible longshot to win the tourney!

Lastly, the guys also touch on the NHL Playoffs which are nearing the conference championship series, where hopefully the Dallas Stars will be heading. On this weeks episode we start by breaking down everything from the 2024 NFL Draft, which concluded on Saturday. Coach Lieck & Uncle T give their Biggest Winners & Biggest Losers of the draft, as well as the best situations that players fell into on draft day.

We follow the draft with some NBA Playoff talk, as the Phoenix Suns have gone fishing after getting SWEPT by the T-Wolves. Anthony Edwards looks like the face of the NBA and he put on an absolute SHOW in that series. The Lakers are on the brink of elimination as well, while the Clippers continue to play better WITHOUT Kawhi Leonard in the lineup.

Close it out with some Caitlin Clark discussion on her new Nike Deal, the possibility of playing in the Big 3, and how the WNBA will handle broadcasting her games.

The NBA Playoffs are here & Coach Lieck and Uncle T are here to break down EVERYTHING from the first weekend of the games, plus preview the remaining games in the series! That includes everything from the Lakers collapse against the Nuggets (AGAIN), Kawhi Leonard sitting out with a bruised butt cheek, the Joel Embiid injury, and all the Anthony Edwards Smoke blown right in Kevin Durant's face from game 1.

On this week’s episode Coach Lieck & Uncle T recap the past week in sports, starting with the BEST Thing We Saw this Weekend as well as Coach Lieck’s Dumby of the Week (Hint: It’s Kentucky). We spend some time recapping the Masters as Scottie Scheffler claimed his 2nd Green Jacket, and second overall Major Tournament victory. Scheffler won going away, shooting 11 under, while Tiger Woods finished dead last of all players who played through Sunday (although Tiger did make a record 25th consecutive cut at Augusta).

The crew then dives into the NBA Play-In games which start Tuesday night, as well a preview of the entire NBA Playoffs, looking at both the Eastern Conference & Western Conference in depth. The guys give their picks for each series as well as their predictions for who will reach the NBA Finals.

Of course we have to talk about our San Antonio Spurs before we finish the episode, not only because Victory Wembanyama’s epic rookie season is now over; but also, because the Spurs dropped two spots in the NBA Draft lottery by winning their final two games of the regular season. Could the Spurs really be considering trading for Trae Young? And if so, would that really be a good fit for us? Lieck & Uncle T debate all things Spurs.

Lastly, the crew touches on the MLB through the first few weeks of the season, including the Astros lackluster start to 2024.

And finally we preview the 2024 Masters, including Scottie Scheffler being in the prime Tiger Woods range in terms of his odds to win it all this weekend. Augusta National is primed for a phenomenal weekend as we look forward to a great few days of golf.
