In March 2026, I had a chat with Voon, an Australian SLP living and working in Auckland, New Zealand.
You may know that New Zealand, with its breathtaking landscapes, was the filming location for The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies. But did you also know that New Zealand was the first country in the world where women could vote? And, given its positioning and time zone, it’s one of the earliest locations to kick off new year celebrations each year.
Grab your passport, pack your bags and get ready to come on an audio adventure to learn what life is like as an Aussie SLP in New Zealand 🇳🇿.
👍 Make sure you like, subscribe and follow on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Instagram so you can hear episodes as soon as they land (yes, that's an airplane pun).

Back at the start of 2025 I had a chat with Abby, an American SLP living and working on Bribie Island in Queensland, Australia. In early December, Abby and I caught up again, and I also met her partner Monique. They’ve had a big year in their business, and we wanted to give you all an update. Not only have they officially hired their first employee (also an American SLP) but they have released a resource to help other SLPs Overseas who are thinking of making the move abroad, specifically to Australia. In this episode you’ll hear about how undertaking the process of hiring an international SLP inspired the creation of this resource.
Grab your passport, pack your bags and get ready to come on an audio adventure as we get an update on what life is like as an American SLP who has hired another American SLP in Australia 🇦🇺.

You may know that Costa Rica is located in Central America, with the Pacific Ocean on one side, the Caribbean Sea on the other and Nicaragua and Panama as its neighbours. But did you also know that Costa Rica has some of the most amazing nature and wildlife anywhere in the world? There are volcanoes, rainforests, beaches, birds, monkeys, turtles, sloths, and so much more.

In June 2024 I had a chat with Kate, an Australian SLP who owns a private practice in Mexico City, Mexico.
You may know that Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and it's the largest Spanish-speaking city in the world. But did you also know that, after independence from Spain, Mexico City became known as the Federal District (Distrito Federal or DF) from 1824 to 2016? Since 2016 the city has been officially known as Ciudad de México (CDMX).
Kate is an amazing guest for this podcast because she has worked as a speech-language pathologist in Mexico and the UK, and she is now running her Mexico City private practice remotely while living in Australia.
It’s time to grab your passport, pack your bags and get ready to come on an audio adventure to discover what life is like as an Australian SLP in Mexico 🇲🇽.
