The podcast hits double digits with it's very first holiday episode. Of course, this being SlurpToast, we completely forget to discuss Thanksgiving.
We open the show with a shout out to the recently shuttered GonzoGeek.com. We had a good run and we talk about some of our favorite moments as part of the staff.
Instead, we talk about:
Bruce issues an apology to Ace Atkins followed by a long glowing review of his Quinn Colson series.
Happy Thanksgiving and remember, turkeys can't fly.
Now that Stephe is back from vacation and the election is over, the boys return to the mic with another installment of Moon Knight Chat as well as the promised discussion of the two Jacks: Repairman and Kirby. Things take a weird turn when Stephe brings up KCMO politician Steve West and his contention that there is a direct correlation between porn and cannibalistic murder leading to the creation of the Porn-Gacy scale. Enjoy!
Bruce and Stephe are back with a conversation that starts off with a discussion of a Covid outbreak at Stephe's office and then turns to:
They also tease next week's episode. Check it out!
This week, despite some connectivity issues, the boys discuss the death of Gen X icon and rock legend, Eddie Van Halen. They also spend some time discussing Marvel's Moon Knight, the viability of Keanu Reeves playing said character and who they would like to see cast in the upcoming Disney+ Moon Knight series.
This week Bruce and Stephe talk about the Emmys, Thai prison movies, modern dentistry, drinking tequila and Wild Turkey (at different times) and how stupid teeth are.
It'll make sense.
We think.
Episode 5 finds the boys getting more comfortable working without notes. The ramble is real, but they ramble on.
This week Bruce and Stephe touch on the overlooked Xevoz toy line, Cobra Kai, The New Mutants, their SDCC buddy Mojo el Diablo, the Green Hornet and Batman '66.
I'm sure there's other stuff, but that'll get you started.
Live without a net, Bruce and Stephe freestyle episode four with mixed results. There is discussion of Devolution, Justice League Dark and Bill Sienkiewicz confusion about a Question commission. Somehow we got to Doug Henning and Carrot Top as Hulk Hogan as well. Just listen. It will make sense.
Bruce and Stephe are back after a couple of weeks of medical leave. This week they discuss kidney stones, knee surgery, Micronauts, DC Fandome, toxic fandom and their kids' Netflix choices and other timely topics.
Bruce and Stephe are back. This week's discussion includes Funko, SDCC, Star Trek, intellectual property, Doom Patrol and the possible joining of two powerful houses.
The inaugural episode finds your hosts, Bruce and Stephe, discussing life during quarantine, advice they got from Bruce's dad, SDCC and Stephe points the rocket launcher at his fellow Funko Fanatics.
