I’ve got some bad news for you….We’re back again this week to cover this nonsense (thanks Barrett). This show is terrible.

The show continued the build-up to Elimination Chamber, with multiple qualifying matches taking place for both the men’s and women’s Chamber bouts.

Trick Williams won a men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying triple threat against Damian Priest and Carmelo Hayes.

On the women’s side, Kiana James scored a surprise victory over Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax to punch her ticket into the Women’s Elimination Chamber, even though it was sloppy and Kiana technically lost the match to Charlotte after not kicking out to the Spanish Fly.

In singles action, Tama Tonga defeated Ilja Dragunov, and Oba Femi manhandled Kit Wilson.

The scheduled Giulia vs. IYO SKY women’s match was changed on short notice, with Rhea Ripley replacing IYO SKY against Giulia.

In that match, Ripley won by disqualification after interference from Lash Legend and a post-match run-in by IYO SKY, leading to chaos between the women.

In the main event, Aleister Black scored a win over Randy Orton after Drew MacIntyre interfered, again.

We’re back with you for another SmackDown.

Greg isn’t happy his Netflix won’t let him watch this show faster.

Brad and Greg are happy that it’s Tiffy time.

This week Brad breaks down SmackDown in true COLE’s Notes fashion — covering everything that happened in under 10 minutes… mostly because, well… not much happened.

This felt like a bit of a speed bump on the road to WrestleMania. Not a bad show — just not a lot of gas on the pedal either.

The good news? We’re still early on the road, so hopefully things pick up quick.

This is really a kick off show for Royal Rumble: Riyad.

You don’t really need to watch this show to be ready for tomorrow.

Enjoy the Rumble and don’t forget to enter the contest!

We’re back in beautiful (frozen) Montréal for a two night event. We start the weekend with SmackDown and tomorrow get Saturday Night’s Main Event.

If this was meant to be a polite “go-home” show for Saturday Night’s Main Event, someone forgot to tell SmackDown. There was little on this show to help setup Saturday’s show.

Hopefully things will get better for tonight?

SmackDaddies 231 - Late Declarations

We’re back in Jolly Old’ England for tonight’s Smackdown.

Drew McIntyre came out flexing like the title made him invincible. It didn’t. Randy Orton shut that fairytale down fast, reminding Drew that championships just paint targets on your back — and Orton never misses.

Then the Contenders Tournament kicked off and turned SmackDown into a street fight. No respect, no patience, just bodies flying for a shot at Drew’s gold. Four wins, one Fatal 4-Way next week, and somebody’s getting fed to the champion… or doing the feeding. And the losers will just declare for the Royal Rumble when they get around to it.

The US Title Match has Brad believing a tag team maybe in the future for Leon Slater and Carmelo Hayes.

Greg is starting to get PTSD about going to Montréal next week.

We cross the pond, took an Uber and ended up at the Arena in Berlin for an afternoon SmackDown.

First, 3 hours is too long. We started this show when it was still daylight out. That was nice.

SmackDown is officially in chaos, as Nick Aldis announced a loaded No. 1 contender tournament with Orton, Miz, Trick Williams, Damian Priest, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn, and Ilja Dragunov.

Giulia’s Women’s U.S. Title reign comes with an asterisk, as Lash Legend shoved Alexa Bliss off the top rope to hand her the win.

Jordynne Grace got her SmackDown welcome… and her warning. She beat Alba Fyre, then Jade Cargill stepped in to remind everyone who believes this is “her show.”

The Wyatt Sicks lost thanks to distraction nonsense, as Solo Sikoa grabbing the Wyatt lantern allowed Tama Tonga to pin Uncle Howdy.

Carmelo Hayes survived Shinsuke Nakamura, gutting through a targeted leg attack to retain the U.S. Title—then shook hands like a fighting champion.

Johnny Gargano went full snake mode, attacking Nathan Frazer backstage while wearing an Axiom mask.

Drew McIntyre is WWE Champion… and nobody’s buying it. McIntyre escaped the cage to win 2–1 over Cody Rhodes after Jacob Fatu shockingly interfered, turning the main event into a robbery.

We didn’t watch the show this week. Frankly, we recorded this on December 20th. We lie about what we did on Christmas and review the spoilers for the Boxing Day episode of SmackDown. Brad loses power, so it ends abruptly unless we remember to go back and put more in. We reconnect and chat about wrestling we saw this year.

We review a not terrible, pre-recorded Smackdown. The wrestling on this show was fine. There were a few segments we loved, including the backstage interaction with Nick Aldis and the Miz, and Nick Aldis visiting Drew at home.
