Our two night SummerSlam has almost arrived, and what did WWE do to prepare us?
John Cena, in his best Big Show impersonation, turned face tonight… maybe? We debate the genuineness of John now becoming a face… and does it make Cody a heel?
An AEW match breaks out on WWE TV, with titles that aren’t WWEs being defended on their show. Tony Khan is either having an aneurysm or needs a kleenex.
Honestly, this was a skippable SmackDown. Watch WWE Unreal instead, or maybe season 9 of Dallas.
We also prepare you for SummerSlam.

Friday Night SmackDown gave us a mid show—but we’re still talking about it. Brad the Dad breaks down the baffling booking, awkward finishes, and moments that made us go: “Is that even legal?” From questionable contract chaos to bizarre tag team setups, nothing is off-limits.

SmackDown returned to two hours. You’d think Greg would be pretty happy with that. (He is). But Netflix (which has had the show since Monday) decided not to release it until 8PM EDT. We could have watched this in the afternoon with a beer, like last week. Why Netflix? Why?
Big D is back to stir the pot between Randy and Cody.
Charlotte and Alexa become a tag team and now are going to Evolution.
Men’s tag teams are electing one member per team to take on the Sicks.
Tiffy will take on Trishy at Evolutioney II
Lucha vs Lucha violence ensues with Fraxiom vs Andrade and Fenix.
Solo and JC Mateo take on Fatu and Uso

SmackDown tried to air from Saudi this afternoon, and they lost power.
After a half hour delay, the show got back on the air.
The big news out of this show: Our prayers have been answered and SmackDown goes to two hours next week.
There’s also a couple tag matches, a US title match, a Womens title match.
But the highlight here is the final segment. John Cena looks himself in the mirror with the Doctor of Punkanomics dropping some Truth (not the R kind) Bombs on him. Re-watch this segment. It was fantastic.

I can’t believe we had a 3 hour show, when in reality this SmackDown needs about 10 minutes of your time.
17 years ago CM Punk sat cross-legged in the entrance and dropped his pipebomb promo, tonight John Cena did his best CM Punk impression and dropped his.
Calling out Nick Nemeth, Matt Cardona, and Claudio Castagnoli made us smile.
Seriously, the only thing you need to do is go to youtube and watch this segment.

We celebrate our 200th episode talking SmackDown.
We catch up after being off last week on Brad and Greg’s travel, and Switch 2s.
We start with John Cena, who continues to be interrupted by various people and eventually we get R-Truth/Ron Killings out to beat him up on the entrance.
We have four fun qualifier matches for the Royalty of the Ring tournament.
We also get a Tag Match involving the “veterans” (who have been in company for 8 months) taking on the Wyatt Sicks.
We have an interesting CM Punk/Cena promo as the semi-main on this show that Greg liked, and Brad didn’t.
We’re heading to SMW’s Beach Party 2 tonight, so if you’re there come say hi!

Greg is back this week after being medically cleared since last week’s show. After spending last Friday Night in a local medical facility (true story), both SmackDaddies are back this week to review this week’s show.
We start with Bianca Belair, and Greg is looking for a drink already.
Then, in what Greg feels is a post-narcotic inspired haze gets a Naomi, Jade Cargill and Nia Jax in a match.
We got R-Truth in the back with Solo Sikoa’s “husky son” Jeff Cobb Mateo, leading to a match between JC and Ron Truth.
SmackDown’s plethora of Tag Teams show up and with no Teddy Long in sight a fight broke out with no match.
We then got Los Garza taking on Je'Von Evans & Rey Fenix. I’m still not sure why besides to have Ethan Page be there.
Zelina Vega takes on Alba Fyre where Brad questions as to what two reasons she’s the US Champion.
In our Money In The Bank Qualifying Triple Threat, Brad and Greg are rocking and sobbing in the corner while we get match 800 of Andrade and Carmelo Hayes…. Oh and Jacob Fatu is there.
And in our Main Event Segment, we got to Yeet, We got to Woah, We can’t see things and drink some PRIME as the four members of the Champion Tag Match at MITB show up… and we find out that Logan Paul is apparently heading to the back to Polish John Cena’s Punisher.

Brad’s ridin’ solo this week while Greg’s on special assignment, and he’s keepin’ it short and sweet with a special birthday edition of the pod. The Wyatt Sicks crash the tag division, Giulia and LA Knight punch their tickets to MITB, and Candice helps Ciampa get a dirty dub. R-Truth drops a heartfelt promo ahead of his clash with Cena, and the women’s title scene heats up with Tiffany, Bliss, and Flair all in the mix.
