Gavin Hepper is a good man with a cool story. The best part about Gavin's story though, is how he is living proof that you don't need to be someones biological parent to step up and actually be a dad figure in the life of a kid who needs it.

Today I take a break from the usual format and give you a little bit of background about me, so you know who the bloke asking questions is all about and I also go into why I started this podcast and what I hope to achieve with it.

I am definitely more comfortable asking the questions instead of rabbiting on about myself, but in the end, I want this show to be exactly like Jason Sotiris from SuperTee said about his chat on Episode 3 - "it felt like a couple of blokes having a chat over a beer". Laid back but entertaining and informative - hopefully!

This is a great chat with Alex McKenzie who I first met playing rugby 20 odd years ago. Needless to say he's kicked on a bit since those days and now is the owner of Future Financial Services - something that is very appropriate for our times right now. Making sure that your financial goals are all in alignment to look after your future and more importantly, the future of your family.

The best part of this chat though was Alex sharing how he approached losing a massive amount of weight and also running the New York Marathon - a big goal 2.5 years in the making and of course his parenting tip which is a good one. I hope you find it as inspiring as I did.

I love the new "buy local" initiative that Michael is trying to get started in the uniform and clothing industry.
