my dreams, feed, and intrusive recurring thoughts have been consumed with the seemingly urgent/ disastrous lack of partying amongst the youth/ youngish. in this cavernous disco ball shaped absence there is a ubiquitous wellness girly/ happy homebody lifestyle (sheet masks, early bedtimes, pearl powder sleepy girl mocktails, etc.)

as someone who has tried + failed to be young, wild, and free, the *shoulds* of extroversion + alcohol induced fun feel overwhelming at times.

this felt like a bit of licensing and also a bit of catharsis bc i don’t want anyone to tell me what to do anymore: old crusty male thought leaders or young sparkly internet thought daughters alike! x
